In 2008, HI
Art Magazine invited the residents of Hawaii to create a
portrait of the time, place and community in which we
live, through the faces of its inhabitants. The end
result is this exhibition and book, curated by Darrell
Orwig, artist and Director of the Schaefer International
Gallery at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center.
The gallery exhibition will run through the month of
December 2008 at idspace, on the Big Island. Please call
966-8943 for an appointment.
The book, Faces of Hawaii, is 8 1/2"x 11", 56 pages,
with 41 full color portraits. It is available in soft
cover and hard cover through the
on-line store in this magazine.
