My "to do" lists are endless, repetitive, and usually indecipherable nonsense relating to mundane tasks or
                    ill-conceived artistic proposals.:
                    *Half-ideas
                    *Unresolved problems.
These lists litter my living room, and now they litter this gallery.

In these drawings I have not censored myself but have attempted to be honest. I try to take chances and go with possibilities. As a friend said, I work “brain to paper”, being direct and immediate and putting some truth into the endeavor.

One common theme in much of my work is sexuality. I am compelled to draw the nude and explore that terrain. I peel back layers around the body (and mind) to expose some of the internal life. Underlying currents, often libidinal and grotesque, permeate the landscape. I desire to make visible that which can be imagined but is not seen every day. I explore the repressed and vilified private content that we may all share. Drawing helps me to meditate on and process this information. The work is in part a playful attempt to widen the scope of acceptable content.
