News

NEW summer session classes to be posted online at the end of the week. Please visit huinoeau.com to view all of the exciting new offerings. It's going to be a great summer!

Mahalo nui loa to the Laila Twigg-Smith Art Fund of the Hawai'i Community Foundation for their recent grant in support of the 2012 Artists in Residence program. Much like last year's program with Stickwork sculptor Patrick Dougherty, we will require a great deal of community support to see this year's exciting program to fruition. Intrigued? Learn more here.

Did you catch Talia Gangini & Hui board member Tim Garcia on the air with Trish the Dish & the Hula Honeys last week chatting about Talia's upcoming stand-up-paddle fundraising expedition between Maui, Lanai & Molokai? If not, please visit this link to learn more about this exemplary Hui teen and her campaign for our youth scholarship program. Good luck this weekend, Talia!

Mahalo to Jennifer Owen and all who attended her lecture last Monday evening, including Gregory Miller and his ceramics students. Join our exhibiting artist on Saturday, April 21 at 12 pm for a free walk-through of her retrospective, to learn fascinating insights into her innovative techniques, architectural and personal inspirations and hear stories from her 38-year career as a ceramic artist and teacher. Watch Paul Janes-Brown's "Curtain Call" review of the show here or read more about Jennifer on the Hui Blog.
